Vanhassa IV-koneessa ei usein ole tilaa lis\u00e4t\u00e4 j\u00e4\u00e4hdytyspatteria. J\u00e4\u00e4hdytyspatterin ilmanvastus saattaa lis\u00e4t\u00e4 puhaltimen s\u00e4hk\u00f6tehon tarvetta niin paljon, ett\u00e4 puhaltimet on vaihdettava tehokkaampiin. J\u00e4\u00e4hdytyskoneen k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4n energian lis\u00e4ksi syntyy siten ylim\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4isi\u00e4 ep\u00e4suoria kustannuksia: puhallininvestointi ja puhaltimen suurentuneen s\u00e4hk\u00f6nkulutuksen tuoma lis\u00e4lasku.<\/p><p>Retermian ratkaisussa lis\u00e4kustannuksilta ja ongelmilta v\u00e4ltyt\u00e4\u00e4n. Retermian kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4 l\u00e4mm\u00f6ntalteenottolaite toimii samalla (tai haluttaessa pelk\u00e4st\u00e4\u00e4n) j\u00e4\u00e4hdytyspatterina. Se voidaan sijoittaa esimerkiksi katolle, joten konehuoneen ahtaus ei ole ongelma. Neulal\u00e4mm\u00f6nsiirtimen ainutlaatuisen rakenteen vuoksi sen aiheuttama ilmanvastus on hyvin alhainen. Puhaltimia ei tarvitse vaihtaa, vaan vanhojen laitteiden teho riitt\u00e4\u00e4 saman ilmavirtauksen s\u00e4ilytt\u00e4miseen. N\u00e4in s\u00e4\u00e4stet\u00e4\u00e4n s\u00e4hk\u00f6\u00e4 ja erillisten j\u00e4\u00e4hdytyspattereiden sek\u00e4 uusien puhaltimien hankintahinta.
